My computer doesn`t recognize the usbmemory device.
Check whether you are using an operating system that supports the usbmemory device. On some older computers, the USB function on the BIOS may be switched off. Please refer to your computer’s instruction manual and switch it on. (BIOS reconfiguration for new computer users is not recommended).

The message "Storage device is in use" appears and I am unable to remove the usbmemory device.
An application you were using with the usbmemory device is still open. Close the application, and then remove the usbmemory device.

I removed the usbmemory device before closing a file or an application used with the device.
Your operating system may flash a warning, but the usbmemory will not be damaged as long as it is not in the active mode. If it is removed during the active mode, the data being transferred will be lost.

When I connect the usbmemory device to a Macintosh computer, it recognizes it but asks if I want to format it.
Your Macintosh computer has been set so that it cannot read Windows-formatted files. You may have deleted this function or initially launched it from a -ROM. Please refer to your user’s manual and reset your computer to read Windows files. If you follow the message and format the usbmemory device on a Macintosh, it will not read or write on Windows machines.

When I try to close the application in Windows ME or 2000, the message "this device is still in use" appears.
A File or an application that was used with the usbmemory device is still open. Close any of these open applications, and then remove the usbmemory device.

The indicated capacity of the usbmemory device is less than the maximum capacity of 16MB, 32MB, 64MB, 128MB, 256MB, 512MB or 1GB.
The usbmemory device calculates its storage amount as 1KB=1000 Bytes and 1MB=1,000,000 Bytes. Thus, the actual capacity may be indicated as 15.3MB, 30.8MB, 62.1MB, 124MB etc.

When the usbmemory is inserted into the USB port, the device is sensed and the driver is loaded. However, when the computer`s drives are viewed using Explorer or some other programs, the drive letter for the usbmemory is not shown. Why?
In certain situations where the user has mapped network drives to the computer, the lowest network drive letter should be at least two drive letters greater than any physical drives located on the computer. For example, if the actual computer drives are:
- Drive C: HD on computer
- Drive D: HD on computer
- Drive E: Memory Stick on computer
- Drive F: DVD/CD drive on computer
- Drive G: Mapped network drive
Inserting the usbmemory will result in the computer sensing the device and installing the drivers; however, the device cannot be viewed using Windows Explorer or other programs.
Drive G should be re-mapped to Drive H, or greater. Once this is completed, reinsert the usbmemory. The computer should install the drivers and the device then be viewable using Windows Explorer or other programs as Drive G:, as shown below:
- Drive C: HD on computer
- Drive D: HD on computer
- Drive E: Memory Stick on computer
- Drive F: DVD/CD drive on computer
- Drive G: usbmemory Drive

Are you using other devices with a USB connection? Response time may be slow when you are using different USB-connected devices at the same time.
